Bernhard Sommer joins management of Interflex Datensysteme GmbH

Bernhard Sommer

As of April 1, 2019, the management of SimonsVoss Technologies GmbH and Interflex Datensysteme GmbH is in just one hand: Bernhard Sommer becomes Managing Director of both companies in the Allegion Group.

Bernhard Sommer spent more than 20 years as Managing Director of Somfy GmbH (Rottenburg), and has been Managing Director of SimonsVoss Technologies GmbH (Unterföhring) jointly with Ludger Voss since 2013.

With his additional appointment as Managing Director of Interflex Datensysteme GmbH (Stuttgart), parent company Allegion is consolidating the management of the companies, both of which operate very successfully in different market segments with different system solutions in the field of access control.

Interflex Datensysteme GmbH develops integrated security concepts with access control, biometric identification, offline solutions, video surveillance and visitor management. The company also operates successfully in the field of company-specific solutions for workforce management with time management and personnel deployment planning.

Since the introduction of the 3060 digital locking and access control system in 1998, SimonsVoss Technologies GmbH has established new electronic dimensions in locking technology in the German-speaking world, which had previously been dominated by mechanical locking systems. Today, the company is considered the European technology leader in the field of digital locking and access control systems.

The new joint management approach will primarily benefit the customers of both companies. At the decision-making level, strategy, investments, innovation development, marketing work and services can be coordinated more effectively and quickly. The expertise of both companies in finding solutions enables close cooperation to meet specific customer requirements if necessary. Both companies will, however, continue to operate independently in the market.
