New Multi-Reader terminal from Interflex
Stuttgart/Germany, 11th September 2009. Interflex presents a stadium terminal with dual reading technology for different types of tickets. Both customary barcode tickets and location-independent Print@home tickets as well as tickets with integrated RFID chip can be checked by means of the IF-712 BS (barcode scanner) terminal. Furthermore, this new terminal type is suitable for use as aprt of a comprehensive visitor management system.
For the first time, Interflex Datensysteme GmbH & Co. KG presents a new multi-reader terminal that fulfills all current requirements to admission control systems, for example in stadiums. The IF-712 BS (barcode scanner) terminal reads and checks both barcodes and RFID chips. This integrated hardware solution meets the customers' demands for a means of identifying and checking both multi-functional chip cards and barcodes on paper tickets. Today, multi-functional chip cards are used as season tickets at German soccer league clubs. These RFID tickets are read and checked contactlessly at the terminal. For day tickets and tickets for a specific game, most soccer clubs and stadium operators use cost-efficient paper tickets with printed barcodes. These are identified and checked by means of an optical barcode scanner. The Interflex stadium terminal also provides for visualization of defined statuses via a signal tower. Thus, in real-time operation, security personnel can see at a glance whether the admission process is running smoothly with regard to the checking of the tickets or whether attempts are being made to gain unauthorized access to the stadium by means of fake tickets. Green signals that the ticket has been recognized and the ticket holder is granted admission. Red signals that the ticket holder does not have permission to enter. Orange is used to indicate special rates, e.g. for children. Thus, the system helps to detect misuse and generally prevents fraudulent use right at the admission point. The IF-712 BS stadium terminal is mounted on or at waist-height turnstiles and, in conjunction with the corresponding security software from Interflex, provides a complete security solution for stadium admission. The first system was installed at Bayer Leverkusen's soccer stadium. Starting with the 2009/2010 Bundesliga (German Soccer League) season, the Leverkusen-based club now uses admission control by Interflex.
Multi-Reader Terminal for Visitor Management
Used in conjunction with a barcode reader, multi-reader terminals from Interflex are also perfect for visitor management systems. This allows for a new, cost-efficient version of access control within a visitor management system. Hitherto, it was necessary to produce new credentials for each visitor. With the barcode reader option, a low-cost paper credential with barcode can be printed for the respective visitor. With the IF-6020 Security software, visitor registration is extremely convenient and can be performed in advance by means of the WebClient and Internet. On the day of the visit, the visitor card with the appropriate barcode is automatically printed and waiting for the visitor at the reception area.
