Employee Self-Service (ESS): WebClient and Workflow systems facilitate administration
With the enhanced WebClient version, based on IF-6020-Time, Interflex is able to demonstrate how workflow applications in both Intranet and Internet, can increase the efficiency in business firms. Among others, the workflow system is currently applied to file applications, record absences, and make corrections which are then automatically transmitted via mail to the competent persons for administration. This is the basis of a comprehensive Employee Self Service allowing your employees to administrate their own time accounts. This can reduce the company's administration effort by up to 90 percent. Besides that, the WebClient allows you to use Interflex applications on personnel scheduling, security management (IF-8000-Monitoring) and visitor management over the Internet. Multi-lingual workflow functionalities are revisable and can be integrated completely into both time management and the user interfaces of Lotus Notes and MS Outlook.
Paperless approval processes
Besides the conventional way of communication, workflow applications allow employees using their browser interface to send vacation requests directly to the person approving them. The approval process is thus not interrupted by passing intermediate stations. No forms or going on errands are needed. An application can simply be approved or rejected by mouse click. All data that is of relevance for approval such as remaining vacation or shift scheduling of the employee, is transmitted along with the re-quest. The applicant receives, almost in real time, either an approval or refusal by mail. Thereby, it was possible to reduce the time required for this ordinary administration process by about 90 percent.
Additional WebClient functions
The WebClient also allows the authorized employee access to the correction mode of his/ her time account using a conventional web browser. We almost exclusively use XML and, therefore, do not need any additional software. So called 'servlets' facilitate changing screen presentations. If the user has failed to make necessary changes and updates, this is the means allowing him/her to do it conveniently at home.This is a priceless advantage, particularly for the growing number of mobile workers. Besides the above, the user can use both Internet and Intranet to retrieve current log files (journals) showing the hours he/she has actually worked in a definite time period compared with the target times. In case there are any mistakes or errors, you can make corrections directly via the user interface which has been adapted to MS Windows PCs.
